INMATE LOCATOR TIPS

The purpose of this page is to help you with some actions on the Virginia Department of Corrections database. This is in no way a for sure solution and keep in mind that these tips may not be of any help depending on whether or not the VADOC's website has been updated or has been modified since the time of this posting. Also, this will only be of an assistance if the individual(s) you are searching for are incarcerated in the state of Virginia. If for some reason any of these tips are outdated, then please feel free to contact me and let me know. I will then do my best to update these resources to better assist you. Just be sure to leave a description of the issue you are having so I will know where to begin.

You can also look information up on prisons in Virginia and see their location on a state map, along with other information dealing with selected prison. You will need to follow the instructions on their website for those resources, at this time I do not have the instructions for those services listed here. I am working on it though.

1. Go to VA DOC pagenVA Department of Corrections. Or simply type the website, https://www.vadoc.virginia.gov, into your web browser's by yourself.
2. Select the Offender button and then you should see the offender locator option on the VA DOC page. Do you see it? If so, put in the offender id number in the spot there, which is provided for that purpose and then hit the submit button. It will, or should then tell you the location of the individual. Remember it's only if they are in a Virginia prison.
